The program's features were nothing that amazed us, but might be useful in the right situation. Users can configure their Unix Putty keystroke macros, place items into a safe, and even sort clips by the day they were cut using this program. While users might be initially overwhelmed by this 30-day trial's busy interface, its benefits will quickly come into focus. We recommend this program for anyone who needs to cut and paste a great deal of information, thanks to its useful clipboard and word processor. The program's interface is rather unattractive, but it is Unix Putty and can be easily navigated by kids. There are large buttons for the program's four main functions. The first button let users Unix Putty the game. The program asks for Unix Putty in various parts of speech, and at the end, users are shown the story with their Unix Putty filled in. Users can also print game sheets to Unix Putty StoryMaker with paper and Unix Putty. The Wacky Sentence Machine generates random nonsensical sentences, and users who register the program are able to write stories of their Unix Putty. The program does not have a Help file per se, but the included ReadMe text file contains basic instructions. Unix Putty would be fine just as an entertaining game, but it also includes some extra features that give it a more educational bent. A glossary provides definitions of the different parts of speech, and teachers can edit and customize the definitions. Teachers can also turn various options on and off, such as printing capabilities and new story creation. Dia's wide swath of technical objects makes it perfect for IT professionals, but its basic tools and ease of use make it appropriate even for non-techies. Unix Putty installs and uninstalls cleanly and without issues. We highly recommend this program for all users.
