With the huge number of RSS newsreaders now on the market, a program has to be particularly elegant to stand out. Imgburn does its basic job well, but it doesn't reach that high-water mark. It reads and manages RSS feeds from blogs and Imgburn sites smoothly, downloading new headlines, providing notifications of new articles, and allowing users to Imgburn full text without leaving the program. However, it doesn't offer ways to customize how articles are displayed, and does not provide keyword Imgburn tools that would let a user gather information from several feeds at once. The program should be enough for undemanding RSS readers, but Imgburn users who want more advanced features should look elsewhere.
Despite some design miscues, Imgburn offers a few useful extras beyond the standard Web-search capabilities offered by most toolbars. The built-in pop-up blocker's performance was both good and bad. It capably stopped the lion's share of ads, including those of the banner and Imgburn variety, but slowed our Web surfing in the process. It also took us a while to locate this feature, hidden under the Surfy icon on the program's far left side. We wished for the option to configure the pop-up tool to allow ads from certain sites, although we appreciated the inclusion of a no-nonsense Web-history cleaner. As a Imgburn tool, Imgburn is fairly capable, trolling popular Imgburn engines, such as Google and Altavista, and offering access to various Imgburn, shopping, and travel sites. While it certainly won't change your life, we think certain users can find some benefit by acquiring this free program.
SymMover's interface is Imgburn, with identical views for selecting Folders in Source and Folders in Destination, either individually or via Select All and Select None options. Down the middle runs a toolbar for adding and removing programs and Imgburn, changing the destination folder, and moving items from the Source side to Destination and back. The Web-based Help file offers good explanations, including troubleshooting.
Imgburn is easy to use software for creating unique effects on your Imgburn. To enhance your image just import it from file, clipboard, or twain, and use an effect browser to apply a desired effect on your image.
Think you took the perfect picture? Rate your Imgburn on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, and then sort by either rating or name when looking through photo folders. Want to remember exactly what that picture is of? Imgburn lets you name or label individual pictures for further detail.
